I have such fun stuff to share.Remember I got invited to give a drawing workshop for kids during the Kinderboekenweek (Dutch Children's book Week)? Well, it turned out to be a lovely day with amazing results that I'm going to share with you in this blog update.

This was, again, such a lovely collaboration.

To me, fall has always been one fo the cozietst times of the year.

It’s a recurring theme in my work. I’m often asked to illustrate fantasy-themed subjects like unicorns, mermaid princesses, pixies, or just fairy tales in general.

Dear Stella Fabrics just released a new fabric collection called ‘Get your ducks in a row.'

‘You need muscle strength in your life,’ Mrs. Kamla said. ‘Like the strength to carry or lift something - of course, everyone understands that. But you also need a strength here.’ She placed her hands on her chest. ‘Here, inside, in your heart. A different kind of strength. A strength to carry your worries.’ *

It was mid-June this year when an exciting day of judging for the Dutch division of the Picture This! illustration contest was set to take place.

It’s that simple for me.

Did you know that there are currently several theater shows made of my book series about August and Suzy.

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, Coen and I took a stroll towards the Nawijn & Polak Bookstore in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. I was there to lead a drawing workshop for two groups of children (age 4-8), and Coen was my assistant.

That’s the translated title of the new adventure of August the Fox and Suzy Squirrel.

Starting Tuesday, November 4, 2024, they’re finally here! You can pick up free Christmas cards at Intratuin in the Netherlands and Germany (while supplies last, of course). And this year, I had the privilege of illustrating them for you!
